Murder on the Orient Express (1974).

December 17, 2017

IMDb: In December 1935, when his train is stopped by deep snow, detective Hercule Poirot is called on to solve a murder that occurred in his car the night before.

One of the most stylish, most glamorous and opulent classics I’ve seen, with a cast (and cinema faces) to die for: Lauren Bacall, Ingrid Bergman, Vanessa Redgrave, and Jacqueline Bisset all in one movie! However, after watching it, I have gained more respect and appreciation to the latest film iteration of the Agatha Christie whodunit novel. The new Murder on the Orient Express directed by Kenneth Branagh for me has more heart and (Daisy’s) “soul”, and I felt more connection to the story as well as the characters. I also love the diverse casting/characters and how the new Poirot is more human and more relatable.
